My iPhone XR has no cellular data

Hello. My Iphone XR has no cellular data and is only working with Wi-Fi. When i go to settings and then press cellular data it says "Error. An update is required to use cellular data on this iPhone." When i tried to do the update it downloaded but takes forever to install. What should i do?

1.

Remove and reinsert the SIM card.

If it doesn't help visit your carrier, maybe the SIM card is damaged, ask for a replaced (new) card. Normally it is free.

Ask also to check if the SIM tray is bent, as even a tiny misalignment can cause the SIM card to not fully connect with the internal contacts in your iPhone.

I have a similiar issue. However, my phone does not reflect my carrier listed in my device and no option to contact my carrier. When clicking on cellular, my device advises me to connect via wifi. I have attempted to reset my settings and even erased my device. I've originially tried removing my sim and restarting device.
