Troubleshooting Duplicate Contacts in iCloud:

Contact Apple Support:

1. Go Here: If you See Duplicate Contacts after Setting Up iCloud Contacts - Apple Support
2. As it Reads: If you see duplicates in Contacts on iCloud.com, visit Apple Support for help.

Apple Contact Info:

• Contact Us - Choose Locations
• Proceed from there, as necessary
• Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

Why Duplicates Occur:

This is occurring because it is a glitch --and it's been going on for years. It is on the iPhone, and Apple really has no fox for it.

1. Go Here: Feedback - iCloud - Apple
2. Select: "Account" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: on when this occurred. Include the URL of this thread.
4. Proceed form there as necessary

The Mac address book is corrupted , it is showing duplicate contacts synced at www.icloud.com , erase the hard drive and reinstall Mac OS , the same duplicate contacts will be shown from synced devices .
