Push notifications

Hi, I recently upgraded from an iPhone 10 to a 14. I performed the transfer as per instruction when starting my new phone. Everything successfully came across to my new phone however I do not receive push notifications. I have very important apps that I require push notifications for for security reasons. For example when I log into an email or business portal on my laptop a notification would normally be sent to my iPhone to confirm that it is me (these notifications are being sent to my old phone which has no SIM card). I am not receiving any notifications on my new phone, even though the associated apps have been transferred over. I have already confirmed that all notifications are turned on and banners are selected etc. I have updated my current phone to the latest software. I really need to get this sorted as I cannot carry around 2 phones purely becuase one does not receive push notifications. I do not want to erase my old phone in fear that then I will not be able to access what I need to without those notifications confirming that it is me. Please help!

Hello Nic_1234_m,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

Since these apps are not working as expected don your new iPhone, let's try these steps:

"If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open

If an app on your iPhone or iPad doesn't work as expected, try this.

1.Close and reopen the app

Force the app to close. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

2.Restart your device

Restart your iPhone or restart your iPad. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

3.Check for updates

To see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then scroll down to see if updates are available. If updates aren't available for the app, update the software on your iPhone or iPad.

4.Delete the app, then redownload it

Delete the app. When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Then redownload the app. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed."

More details can be found here: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open

If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? What is your exact iOS version? Do you know if those apps are only designed to send notifications to one device? Also, which apps are you experiencing this with?

Cheers!
