Quicktime and time display

Recording a video on my iPhone SE (iOS 16.11).

Air Dropping to MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.2.1.

Opening with Quicktime 10.5

When I go to View-Time Display, all options are greyed out and Elapsed Time seems to be the default.

I want to go to Frame Count (experiment with speed of a ball).

Do I need a better camera, with some sort of TimeCode embedding?/

Yes, there must be an embedded timecode in the movie.

You can add timecode with a command like:

ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -c copy -timecode 00:00:00:00 output.mp4

Not sure where I would add the timecode with a command?
