iCloud Numbers file not updating on Mac

Changed an iCloud Drive Numbers file on my iPad; update reaches iPhone ok, but hasn't reached iMac.

iMac Finder shows updating circle against iCloud Drive.

What am I doing wrong?

iMac 24″, macOS 13.1

On your Mac have you tried -

-- double-check internet connection

-- restart your Mac

-- sign out of iCloud and then back in again (and double-check that it's the same iCloud account for all devices

Thanks for replying.

This has happened before, and I was trying to avoid these rather brutal approaches.

I eventually resorted to a restart - fixed it.
