on osx 10.10.5 Yosemite i can't log in to mac app store

I just bought a used macbook pro mid 2015 and it has factory reset back to yosemite 10.10.5 For the life of me I cannot find how to update to current version of monterey It is on the list as a compatible device Any help please ? The app store wont accept my password It says is incorrect but it is correct I have tried changing password too but to no avail

Cannot update from Yosemite as App Store won't accept Apple ID Password. I have erased my mac, and it has reinstalled to MacOS Yosemite. Now I wish to update to the latest possible MacOS. I have attached my Apple ID to the Mac, but the App Store does not accept my Apple ID password, leaving me unable to update the MacOS. I have tried changing password without luck. I am on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) Has anyone experiences similar issues when erasing? Are there any fixes?

Mac os Yosemite, trying to sign into Appstore, says password is incorrect while its not. Hey! I just made a complete reset of my 2015 Macbook Air. I had Monterey running, but it seems like Yosemite was the only Mac OS that was possible to install after the complete format. Now when Im trying to sing in to Appstore to download Monterey, it says that the password or username is incorrect. I even tried to create a new account, in case i actually forgot my password (The account that i then created this account with). There is also no issue signing in to appleid.apple.com or the manage site. Im also connected to the same wifi as I'am from the computer that I'm now typing from. This is getting quite annoying, i thought i continued using Macbook since they worked so flawless... Any suggestions? After googling, I have seen that many people have this problem, but i haven't found a solution yet.

Upon researching your question, we found that you can install up to macOS Monterey, along with it needing macOS 10.9 or higher installed, and you mentioned already having macOS 10.10.5 currently installed.
