using apple ID/icloud for text
Is it safe to use my apple id/ icloud to text people from my iPad for my business since I can’t use an actual phone number?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. There are a couple of ways to use iMessage on an iPad. See information below or in this article: Set up Messages on iPad
• Over Wi-Fi or cellular service, using iMessage with others who also use iMessage on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac. iMessage texts appear in blue bubbles.
• Through your cellular service as SMS/MMS messages. SMS/MMS messages appear in green bubbles.
