Hi there. My iMac 27” 2017 needs replacing and I was wondering if anyone could help with a current equivalent? Does not need to be a 27” screen.
so the current specs are:
3.4ghz quad core intel core i5
Memory: 32 gb 2400 mhz ddr4
Graphics: Radeon pro 570 4 gb
iMac 27″ 5K, 12.6

You can compare your model to similarly equipped Intel iMacs but I would only consider M1 or M2 models today. Any one of them will outperform yours.
The basic 24" M1 iMac will be 2X faster than your curren Mac:
We don't have info you the M2s as yet. Since they can't be upgraded after purchase order at least 16 GB of RAM and as large a SSD drive as the budget can afford.
