Hi,

I have old 2012 iMac 27 inch & I need to connect my new M1 Max MacBook Pro to I Mac for TARGET DISPLAY MODE . So is it work ?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

No. Target Display Mode has been deprecated for years and does not work with the current batch of computers. There are software solutions like Luna Display.
