Where are they being saved to...?
Shift Command 5 —>Options
third-party sync software all have options to capture screenshot for example: DropBox, OneDrive, GoogleDrive, or BackBlaze — if that is the case they may seem "disappearing"
Once I get these Options set where I want them— I typically use
Shift Command 4 or Shift Command 3
Take a screenshot on your Mac
Take a screenshot on your Mac - Apple Support
Shift Command 5
Take screenshots or screen recordings on Mac - Apple Support

Thank you… I had already tried all of those things and still not finding anything. I used to use command shift 4, and that stopped working once I installed Ventura. So then I moved to command shift 5 and now they remain on the desktop for a few seconds and then disappear. I do use Dropbox and OneDrive, but they are not there either. 🤷🏼♀️
