How to disable cmd-p printing from finder?

I wanted to know how to disable the "cmd+p" shortcut for quick printing in Finder. It was too risky because there was no confirmation, and I accidentally sent my friend's private photos to the company's printer. When I heard the sound of the printer, I realized something was wrong. I had to rush to the printer and prevent anyone from getting near it with all my might.

OMG.

You have no business in a work environment doing risky business. Full stop.

You can not disable the baked in Command P print command in your macOS.

The confirmation window does presents itself if the file is "open" allowing you to make changes, number of copies, etc. —if the file is "closed" it goes straight to printer, yes.

You can cancel print jobs from CUPS— this interface is through your browser, copy and paste:

http://localhost:631

if no interface, then from Terminal.app copy & paste:

cupsctl WebInterface=yes

Once you have access to CUPS management in your browse>Jobs>Show All Jobs

scroll to the bottom and CANCEL

By the time one figures out that something has gone to the printer, it is likely partly printed or entirely in the printers RAM and you may not be able to cancel the print job. A quicker approach in the Terminal that may work if the print queue still remains actionable:

Remove the current print request to the default printer
lprm

Brillant.

thx VikingOSX
