iPhone heating and turning off.

My iPhone X suddenly turns off and I open it normally. But I really don’t know what’s causing the shutting off, my battery life is 100% still

"iPhone heating and turning off.: My iPhone doesn’t show the apple sign nor a spinning gear or nothing. It just goes black and I turn it on by the side button that’s all. And this happened every 20 minutes seriously. And I’ve also tried resetting the settings but it didn’t work."

Troubleshooting an Overheating iPhone:

There are likely too many processes taking place. So, power off the phone, to let it cool, and then try clearing space.

Try the following:

I. Cool Down the iPhone:

For a few hours, perform the following...

  • Power Off: the iPhone for a bit
  • Unplug: any Cables
  • Place it Atop: Laptop Cooler
  • Keep it in: an open space
  • Keep it Out of: direct sunlight

II. Clear Space:

Rather than reply on a third-party, see if you can clear data out yourself:

"iPhone heating and turning off.: And am using a vpn app called Psiphon this days. Can anything relate with this?"

VPNs Being the Culprit:

Yes. A VPN can be a culprit. Keep Security Software off of you Apple Devices. They just get in the way, and this is a pure example of how and why. The VPN is likely over performing Data Transfer Rates(DTR), thus an overheating battery.

"iPhone heating and turning off.: Owk thank u. I will try this hmm so nothing is wrong with my battery right or my cable?"

The iOS is the Culprit:

It is likely an issue with the iOS --to many resources are being taken up. As a result, the battery is affectedly overheating. So, let it cool down, and then clear space, as I mentioned in my previous reply.

Being Stuck in a Boot Loop:

Your iPhone is stuck in a boot loop. This typically happens when you unsuccessfully download some things or an update stalls.  So, refer to my User Tip: How to Fix an iPhone in a Boot Loop - Apple Support
