Weather app Radar/Map Broken

When I click on the map to expand it's size all I see is a bunch of diagonal lines over the map and I don't see the precipitation/radar activity.

I can see the rain/snow in the static image, but when I click to expand the map all I see are diagonal lines.

When I activate a different layer, such as Air Quality or Temperature, I see the color coded information, but not with precipitation. Zooming in and out doesn't help either.

And the strangest part is that this is happening with Weather on both MacOS Ventura and iOS. See attached pics for more.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

FWIW, there have been multiple posts about the Weather app in Ventura, including my two installs. The issue is the Weather app itself. Either an Apple fix is required or it may even be a server side issue where the data originates from. You're not going to find anything in the EtreCheck report. It won't hurt anything to run it but it's not going to reveal the problem.

I kinda assumed there was a larger issue at play. After enduring the problem for longer than I thought it would take Apple to fix it, I started to think maybe I had an iCloud problem that others had experienced. And posting it up has proven that it's one of a long list of problems Apple's OSes occasionally have that don't get fixed through several updates, probably because it's not a big enough problem for them.

Sometimes the problems are fixed with a future update, sometimes it's not fixed until I buy a new devices.

Sometimes I just learn to live with the problem and/or stop using the affected software.

I just want to chime in and say that I’m having the same issue on both my M1 MBP and iPhone 12. Both fully updated.

Sorry but on the 3 Apple computers all running Ventura 13.2.1 and iPhone 14 running iOS 16.3.1 - No Issues here

Your screenshot is of the entire app. Open up the precipitation map and take a look at that. The issue isn’t with all the data. It is with the animated precipitation map.
