Sending + receiving screenshots

I’m having an issue (my friend is as well) where screenshots sent and received in messages aren’t showing up, instead there’s a ? icon (see photo) and I can’t download it. It’s only happening on my iPhone 13 Pro, and it is up to date. My settings are all correct for sending/receiving multimedia. I get other photos and videos just fine, but not screenshots. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix?
