Netflix downloads an empty file to my MacBook every time I click "sign in"

Usually I have no problems with Netflix on Mac but I just noticed that I was signed out. Whenever I click sign in, a file titled "login" is downloaded to my Mac. The file has nothing on it. How can I sign into Netflix?

Thanks,

Harry

I understand when you attempt to log in to your Netflix account using Safari, it fails to log in, but their website deposits an empty file on your Mac. Is that correct?

If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn't working as expected - Apple Support has a number of suggestions. Review all of them first, and if you still experience the problem please write back for more.
