What Risk a Damaged Mac?

Go Apple-for-Apple to avoid device damages, such as power surges. Going Apple-for-Apple is the method I always use. I recommend you do the same.

Use as Intended:

You can get something of higher wattage, but you'd only get optimum use of what your device is manufactured to handle. So, don't expect a faster charge from higher wattage. But, do expect a slower charge from lower wattage.
