What Happened to Lossless and Atoms Logos?

My AppleTV just updated to TvOS 16.3.2. I noticed in Apple Music that the Lossless and Atoms logos are no longer displaying in the information bar on the Now Playing screen. It appears that Atmos is actually playing as I see Dolby Atmos on my receiver and am hearing surround effects from my system. Of course, no way to tell if lossless tracks are actually playing. But, I assume they are.

I did check settings to be sure Atmos and Lossless were enabled in App music settings and they appear to be.

Is the logos not displaying intentional or a bug? I kind of miss them.

Thanks,

Apple TV 4K, tvOS 16

Hi CrushonAtmos,

It sounds like there may have been a change. However, you can check your settings with the information below found in the guide here: Adjust music settings on Apple TV - Apple Support

  1. "Open Settings  on Apple TV.
  2. Go to Apps > Music and do any of the following:
    • Automatically add to your library any Apple Music songs you add to playlists: Turn on Add Playlist Songs to Library.
    • Choose what appears at the top of your Home Screen: If the Music app is in the top row of the Home Screen on Apple TV, when you highlight the app, music suggestions appear in the shelf above it. To choose what type of content appears there, select Top Shelf to switch between Video Playlists and Library + Top Albums.
    • Listen to music in Dolby Atmos: Select Dolby Atmos to listen to supported songs in Dolby Atmos and other Dolby audio formats when connected to HomePod or other compatible audio receivers or speakers.
    • Set Audio Quality: Select Audio Quality to switch between High Quality (AAC), or Lossless (ALAC up to 24-bit/48 kHz). Lossless files preserve every detail of the original audio. Support for lossless files depends on song availability, network conditions, and speaker capability.
    • Normalize the sound level of your music: Select Sound Check to turn it on or off.
    • Share music played on Apple TV with your followers on Apple Music: Turn on Use Listening History. When turned on, this setting also influences the recommendations you get on the Listen Now screen."

There's additional information here to make sure all your audio settings are correct. Adjust video and audio settings on Apple TV

Regarding any changes made to how the details are displayed, feel free to provide feedback to apple directly using the website here: Product Feedback - Apple

Cheers.
