iMac Pro stuck in internet recovery mode no matter what.
I have an iMac Pro (Monterey) that I was selling, decided to wipe the unit and do a fresh installation (FileVault was active), I started in recovery and it took me to the internet recovery, I entire info for network, it connects and then 20 minutes or so later it fails. I hold the power button and it comes right back to the spinning globe with "choose network", I unplug it, same thing. I have tried wired and wireless keyboards, all the key combos for recovery with no change. The iMac is not locked up, but it will not go past this page, there are no other things to click on or back out of or quit. I created a bootable thumb drive with Monterey, tried using the option command, nothing, goes directly to the internet recovery page still. I then setup another iMac Pro with latest update of Monterey and downloaded Apple Configurator 2, I am using an Apple charging cable and I followed the instructions, it will come up as an "apple controller", I have tried to restore it and it fails, all the while the iMac is showing the internet recovery screen and you can still choose a network, but that is it. I am sure I have done something stupid, but I am not sure what I have done. I tried resetting the PRAM and VRAM, but I get no tones, just the stupid internet revery screen. Is this thing now just parts or is there something else I can try? Only thing I haven't tried is to use an ethernet cable, that is going to take some effort as it is a VESA wall mount on a different floor from the router.
