Apple TV and the TCM app will not get along

Would love to hear if anyone can assist me with TCM app on Apple TV, OS 16.3.2.


I have tested the suggestion to remove "allow" TV provider or "never". Neither of these options worked for me.


Each time I go back to the app, I'm given a sign in code. I dutifully go to TCM.com/activate, enter the code and receive a successful activation message.


Returning to the app and trying to play any content on the app gives me the following message:

"Sorry, your cable subscription does not include this content".


I have TCM as part of my package. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Sounds like you're not able to access the TCM app on your Apple TV. Allow us to assist. According to the TCM app details here: App Store Preview - Watch TCM


It states the following:

In order to access WATCH TCM, you must get TCM at home through either a cable or satellite TV package.


So it sounds like you already do have this channel with your provider. If the app isn't recognizing this, you might want to refresh things by reinstalling the app itself.


1.) Delete app.

2.) Redownload app.


If these steps don't help with this specific app, even after reinstalling the app, please reach out to the app developers for help. They might have a better insight on what is going on with their app. This resource can show you how to reach them: How to contact an app developer - Apple Support
