My phone is stuck in a “SOS” mode and will not get out of it. I’ve tried a lot of different options but still continues in the SOS mode. I can’t even make calls.

How do I get out of the “SOS” mode?

iPhone 12, iOS 16

The phone is in SOS mode because you have lost the connection with your carrier.....or.....the carrier is currently experiencing service outages.

You will need to get in contact with your carrier to work things through.

Turning Off SOS:

If you do not need to use SOS, then cancel it, and say "pocket tap"

  1. Go Here: Use Emergency SOS on your iPhone - Apple Support
  2. Scroll to: End a call
  3. As it Reads: "If you accidentally call emergency services, you can end the call. Tap the End Call button, then confirm that you want to stop calling."
