How to locate and retrieve Mail files "on My Mac" follow cpu crash and recovery

Following an OS update that crashed, I now have a new 13.2.1 update. My Mail program no longer displays the files "on My Mac", and I cannot access my Time Machine backups for the period before the crash. How can I recover them within Mail?

Perhaps someone will be able to specifically answer your recovery problem for you. I long ago stopped using Time Machine because of the extreme difficulty in being able to recover older/saved email messages. For many people, being able to easily access these messages is very important, especially when they have saved hundreds or thousands of them. That is simply not possible with Time Machine. That is why I use and recommend Carbon Copy Cloner as a backup app. It provides a mirror version of everything on your HD. Finding an email message is just as easy as going directly to a message in Mail.

I cannot access Time Machine records since my OS crash and download of a new OS Ventura. My current access does not extend beyond the point where the new OS was installed. I can “see” that a record of my last active day with the old disk exists on TM, I just can’t get through it.

Regarding CCC, and have copies of alll my Mac Mail files for the entire past year. I have used CCC in past to replace generic and broad data, but never for something as precise of the old “on My Mac” personal files created and maintained in Mail. All the Mail system files a okay, but the one created within Mail but “on My Mac” are gone.
