Screen time passcode keeps randomly turning off

The screen time passcode requirement gets randomly turned off. This happens daily I think or almost daily. This basically renders the screen time restrictions useless... This is happening on both of my kids accounts on multiple devices. No they do NOT know the passcode as I have been changing it daily and this issue is still happening. I am pretty surprised that Apple has not acknowledged the issue exists and have not a) recommended temporary work arounds and b) are not implanting a fix. Thoughts?

Yes, many times. I was sure that she is guessing it at first and kept trying all kinds of things, but now that I kept her phone over night for a few days, I can reliably confirm that the password was actually turned off via other means. I assume this is an Apple issue that may only be affecting some users. I saw other thread on this and also have heard about this issue on other Facebook parenting groups. If you are from Apple I'm happy to share my account to see if you can pull up some logs, so please let me know if there is a way to share it without sharing with everyone else :).

Highly unlikely. Also I kept her device for a few days now and that is the only device she has. Even if she found a device at school, she would not try to reset it as she knows I am keeping the device until I find a solution to this issue. The other device is of my 9 year old who is NOT tech savvy and it also happens on his device fairly consistently. I thought I was crazy there for a few months.

Was the passcode turned off while you still had it in your possession, or after you returned it? When you create a screen time passcode it asks for an optional Apple ID to reset the passcode. This should never be the Apple ID for the child’s phone, because knowing it allows whoever knows it to reset the passcode. Use your Apple ID & password, or leave it black.
