Grey outlined box?

Hey, every time I click on anything, a grey outlined box appears on whatever I clicked on. Which if frustrating considering how it sometimes prevents me from typing or pausing a video etc. Was wondering if anyone knew what the issue would be here and how to resolve this.

Without a screenshot, this sounds like you have enabled Full Keyboard Access. If you are running Ventura, go to System Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard and disable the toggle for Full Keyboard Access.

If you are on Monterey, then System Preferences > Accessibility > Keyboard > Navigation tab and uncheck Enable Full Keyboard Access.

This feature is useful for users who need to use keyboard or switch access control as the highlight box is a visual indicator of what is in focus.

Hope this is helpful.
