CarPlay Chevy Silverado 2021
When my phone is on Bluetooth or CarPlay, Snapchat, instagram and Facebook Messenger are silenced even on Apple Watch series 8 in my 2021 Silverado. Is there a way to fix this?

Hi sweetxsomethins,
Thanks for the post. It sounds like you're not hearing sound for notifications for some apps when you use CarPlay. Is that right, or are you referring to audio other than notifications?
Do you get similar results with any built-in iOS apps? Knowing that will help narrow things down.
Also, are you using a Driving Focus? This link provides more detail: Use the Driving Focus on your iPhone to concentrate on the road - Apple Support
"Turn the Driving Focus on or off
If you already have the Driving Focus set up, you can quickly turn it on or off from Control Center:
When the Driving Focus is on, the Driving icon
appears in the status bar and on the Lock Screen, and your status is automatically displayed in the Messages app. When someone sends you a message, they'll see that you silenced notifications, but they can still notify you if something is urgent."
Let us know! Take care.

May be by design. You’re referring to social media apps which they wouldn’t want an assumed driver to be utilizing anyway while driving. It may also be because not all apps are CarPlay compatible (notice if you go into CarPlay under settings on your phone and click on the car listed under “My Cars” and then customize only a small number of the apps you likely have on your phone show as an option to include).
CarPlay supports other apps on your iPhone — like your favorite audio, messaging, and voice apps, along with apps in categories like third-party parking, EV charging, quick food ordering, fueling, and driving task apps. Apps developed by car manufacturers are also supported, so you can control more of your car’s features without ever leaving CarPlay.2You can personalize your experience by rearranging exactly how your apps appear in CarPlay through settings on your iPhone. And app developers have access to a variety of tools and templates that enable them to provide smarter, safer ways to use iPhone in the car.
That text came from the Apple site iOS - CarPlay - Apple. It also lists the apps that currently support CarPlay. Theoretically based on that info it’s not odd to think that while your phone is connected to CarPlay (and by virtue your watch would be since it mirrors your phone) only notifications will be heard from apps that are compatible. It’s just an assumption on my part but it seems like the likely scenario.
No, not using drive focus or any focus unfortunately. Regular texts, calls, FaceTime come through fine. Everything else is muted.
Hey sweetxsomethins,
