IPad Pro Floating Keyboard Won’t Enlarge

I have a new 6th Generation IPad Pro running OS 16.3. Regularly when using the pen and keyboard to floating keyboard appears without the option to enlarge via pinch-to-zoom or a signifier key. I don’t want to have to restart my device every time this happens because it happens every time I use the pen when writing to type. Has anyone found a workaround yet?

Friendly reminder there is no split-keyboard option, the pinch-to-enlarge does not work, and there is no button to enlarge.
