Will I lose text messages if I change the Apple ID in iMessage?
I have been having an issue with text messages not showing up on my Apple Watch and realized that the problem may be coming from the fact that I am logged into iMessage with a different Apple ID than I use on my phone, MacBook, and iPad. It appears pretty straight forward to change the Apple ID being used in iMessage on my iPhone but before doing so I want to ensure I won't lose any of my text messages.
Does anyone know if I will lose any text messages changing accounts?
I have verified that iMessage is linked to the same email address and phone number on all of my devices.
