Where to see ‘Now playing’ on apple tv via Airplay?

I like to stream music from the Youtube Music app on my iphone to my Apple tv. And I used to be able to see what music and artist I’m listening to via Airplay.

But now, when I hold the button to see the ‘switch user’ menu, I can see a tiny block that says what song is playing. But when I click on it to (hopefully) get it in full screen, it does nothing.

When I click on the Airplay button, I see something that looks more like a ‘Now Playing’ screen, but that disappears after 30 seconds or so.

Someone said they found a workaround by going to the Apple Music app on the tv and go to ‘Now Playing’, but then it only shows an empty artwork and ‘NOT Playing’.

I’m guessing all of this has to do with me not using Apple Music, but since I WAS able to see a ‘Now Playing’ screen whenever I was streaming anything to the Apple Tv, I was just wondering if there’s a way to bring it back!

When I try to AirPlay music (Spotify free) from iPhone to Apple TV, then the Now Playing box in Apple TV Control Center is clickable for some tracks, but not all. I do have Apple Music, so that might be used in the background for the full screen presentation for supported tracks, not sure.

Curious to see if anyone else has more insights.
