I am using an USB C hub in which an hdmi cable is connected with the monitor.

The vendor is Dell.

A thing to note - The USB C dongle and the monitor is working just fine when used on another ipad (Air, with version 16.3.0)

so, its not a dongle issue or monitor issue.

Secondly, The dongle/hub has many ports including some usb and sd card slots, all of them are working fine with my ipad pro m1, it’s just the HDMI.

Reminds me of when I worked at a software dev company. They’d release new software about every day and when we reported a bug we’d always get, “Try the latest software”. So you would and by the time you could test it out and report back, they’d say, “We have a newer version now… try that one”.

I am on 16.4 and experiencing the same problem. Hard wired USB-C port to monitor using a USB-C to DVID port on the monitor. I know DVI-D? (company issued monitor). And the exact setup has been working for almost two years until the latest software changes. My symptoms are slightly different. if I reboot the iPad with the monitor plugged in, the monitor works again for about 4 minutes.

Try a fully-Thunderbolt path to a (borrowed) display, on the off chance that the dongle or DVI or cabling or display is involved here. (As somebody with experience at a software development company, you’re undoubtedly well aware of how many different potential culprits exist in your display configuration here, too. Best try to rule out some of those permutations before escalating.)

Then chat or call Apple.

with multiple complaints on Apple Community, combined with the fact that it worked up until the software update . . . seems unlikely. If it worked on a Thunderbolt direct, or USB-C to HDMI, hurray? Only tells me that something is now wrong with the diver to support DVI-D, which worked before which is the only option I have plus bought a specialty cable to make it work a couple years ago. I hope Apple’s answer is not, “With the new software, you will need to buy a new monitor”. My company is not about to issue me a one-off monitor that is different than any of the other 2,000 employees.
