Files dragged to trash, are immediately deleted
I saw a thread regarding this, but it did not work. Any file I drag to my trash immediately gets a warning that the file will be permanently deleted, and I will not be able to undo. The fix offered was to go into the terminal app and type in a couple of queries. Where it failed for me was when I typed in sudo rm -ri ~/.Trash
I was supposed to get back: remove files in directory/users/XXX/.trash? But instead I get: examine files in directory/users/XXX/.trash?
I then type yes and I get: Operation not permitted.
can anyone help?
