The simplest of google searches shows this has been a pervasive problem since at least 2019. The only fix I have seen that works is deleting and redownloading all apps. It’s ridiculous that apple hasn’t fixed the actual problem and continues to suggest this work around. Deleting and redownloading all apps with each update? Are you serious?

I have a iPhone 12 Pro Max when I’m using iMessages I noticed this same problem with the links not working after I updated the system to iOS 17. The links don’t seem to be “connected” and won’t work as they did. I know the links in iMessage work because I can copy and paste them it’s into a browser and it’s just fine.

Also, I don’t know if this is related at all.. it’s happened a few times where I cannot get the “look up” search when highlighting a word in a document and on the web. Strange that it’s happening now. Could it be from the update? Have a changed a setting somewhere? I have tried a couple things and no luck. Any advice would be helpful.

Hi there FrustratedAppleUser23,

We'd like to learn more to see how we can help. If you're having difficulty loading websites in two different browsers, that can typically point to a network connection issue. Is your iPhone connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network with good signal strength? If you connect to a different network, does this behavior persist?

Also, you mentioned opening links; which app are you using to attempt to launch a link? For the behavior you're seeing with Safari not loading websites as expected, try working through all the suggested steps in this support article to see if they resolve the issue for you: If Safari isn't loading websites or quits on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Thanks!
