Headphones have a clicking sound

I would also look for other electrical devices that are plugged into the same electrical circuit as the Mac mini. Keep in mind that normal home and office circuits, can have multiple outlets feeding different rooms and areas.

It’s probably interference from the monitor/other devices. What make is the monitor and what else is connected to it/the mini?

Looks like some work to eliminate the source of interference but maybe you’ll get lucky: try replacing the dongled mouse with a wired one.
