Epson scanner error 21345

I am running MacOS 12.6.3, trying to use my old Epson Perfection V100 Photo scanner. I downloaded the most recent driver from the epson website. When I launch Image Capture there is a long pause and then I get an error message "Failed to open a connection to the device (-21345). Suggestions?

Has anyone else experienced compatibility issues with new scanners and Mac OS Ventura 13.4 (and previous OS versions and updates) I just purchased an Epson Perfection V600 Photo scanner. Despite the fact, the manufacturer says that it is compatible with the Ventura OS, I cannot operate the scanner with my 13 inch MacBook Pro (OS Ventura 13.4). Has anyone else had this issue with Epson V600 scanners? Steps taken: 1) Downloaded and installed the latest V600 driver for Mac OS Ventura 2) Checked the system settings and the scanner was detected by my MacBook Pro 3) There is a flashing orange error light on the front panel of the V600 scanner 4) Epson customer service were unable to solve the problem I have had the exact same issue with HP scanners, however in this case, HP had stopped updating their drivers for the model of scanner I owned. Epson claims they still support the Ventura OS. Does anyone have a work-around or can they recommend high definition scanners that work seamlessly with Macs? Thanks in advance

Epson Perfection V600 I have not cracked the code to scan with the brand new Epson V600. The SilverFast 8 download has major glitches with my Mac OS 13.1 Am I missing something? Is there a solution?

Did you install the Epson ICA scanner driver for Image Capture? https://epson.com/Support/Scanners/Perfection-Series/Epson-Perfection-V100-Photo/s/SPT_B11B184051?review-filter=macOS+12.x

This needs to be installed for Image Capture to work with the scanner.

I had installed the driver. But I downloaded it again and did a reinstall. Rebooted the scanner and now it seems to be working. Thanks for the help.
