When is Apple going to fix the CPU-hungry and won't sleep "contactsd" in Ventura?

When is Apple going to fix the CPU-hungry and won't sleep "contactsd"  in Ventura?

I'm following up on the thread "Contacts & CPU - contactsd process using over 400+% CPU?!" which seems to be closed? But not solved...

"contactsd" uses a lot of CPU, and also has not suspended when I close the lid, so it runs the battery down to 1%

I upgraded to 13.2.1 promptly, to no avail.

HELP!!

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 10.15
