My macbook pro 2021 does not recognize my LG65NB60.
I am using the correct apple adaptor of the USB-a to USB-c.
When i have it plugged in my DVD devise just clicks. How do I get my iMac to recognize this devise?
It would be nice if these laptops come with a DVD reader already installed.

Maybe your DVD device needs a firmaware update— I have no idea
For your third party device—search the developers website or contact their: Support/Help/FAQ/Known issues/compatibility/updates

Not sure what happened to my question. Here it is again:
My macbook pro 2021 is not able to connect to DVD player/reader LG65NB60
i am using the apple version of usb-c to usb-a connection. When connected all I hear is clicking noises and a blank dvd player screen in my Mac.
is there a way to get them to merge?
