Apple ID Security questions & contact address

Hey,

I've not used an apple product or my I-tunes for a while and today I decided to go and take a look at I-tunes on my Win10 PC. I'm 99% sure I was using the right password, but couldn't log in, so I reset the password.


Now when I tried to log in to the apple website after changing the password I get all the security questions. Again I'm sure I know the answers, but they're not being accepted and when I try to reset them I get "We do not have sufficient information to reset your security questions."


Any advice or ways to contact apple that isn't automated and sending me in circles?

If you get a message about not having 'sufficient information', you will not be able to reset your security questions.* Realize that several years ago Apple transitioned to using to two factor authentication instead of security questions and has been encouraging users to switch to the newer security system. Your next recourse will be try to change to two factor authentication as outlined in this article --> Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support Follow the instructions in the section "Turn on two-factor authentication for your Apple ID"

You can investigate adding more ways to get a code such as multiple telephone numbers where you can receive a text or a phone call. This is from the section "About trusted phone numbers and trusted devices" in the article: Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support :


To see, add, or change your trusted phone numbers use one of these methods:

● On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Go to Settings > your name > Password & Security. Next to Trusted Phone Number, tap Edit.

● On a Mac computer choose Apple menu  > System Settings (or System Preferences), then click your name (or Apple ID). Click Password & Security, then add or remove a trusted phone number.

● Using a web browser: Go to the Account Security section of https://appleid.apple.com .


Set up an Account Recovery Contact ( Set up an account recovery contact - Apple Support ) so you can also get a code that way.


You do that so you don't encounter this: If you can’t sign in, access a trusted device, reset your password, or receive verification codes, you can request account recovery to regain access to your account.
