Apple Music launches automatically

Whenever I put in or take out my airpods, Apple Music not only opens of its own accord, it starts playing music. I find this very disruptive because I'm usually putting airpods in or out because of a meeting I'm attending.

How can I stop this from happening? I'm currently running Ventura but it's happened with previous OSes as well.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.2
