Not all of the text messages from a friend are coming through. Sometimes they come through and other times they do not. Any ideas?

Are you using iMessage with this friend or SMS?
Are you using public or private WiFi or Cellular?
It would help identify if there was a problem on the other person's end...If they had an Apple device, we could tell if the message was delivered immediately or not.
But this could be a problem with connection on either one of your ends. That's as far as MY expertise goes on this subject.
This friend does not have an iOS phone. Has an android. Does that matter? I have iMessage on. I am currently on a private wifi, but I think this also happens when I am on cellular.
