Permission Needed From Different Account

I work for a company where each employee uses a company iPad to build reports. When we started using them, my boss set up my iPad using his Apple ID and then I set up the remaining iPads using my Apple ID. Even though I and the rest of the employees changed to their own IDs on their iPads, they still require the password and authentication code from the account that set it up (I need my bosses and they need mine) any time they need to update the version of the app we use, download apps, etc. Is there a way to change that where they are solely on their own Apple ID and no longer need permission from the original account?

Thanks in advance.

Each person would have to delete the existing apps and redownload them with their own IDs.

It sounds like you may wish to start investigating enterprise wide deployment solutions.

If the App was downloaded with your account, it will forever require your account's password to update as it is inextricably tied to the account that downloaded the App. You would need to have them uninstall the app from the iPads, and re-download them with their account.

Though it would be better if you have several iPads to look into Apple Configurator and an MDM, so the apps are neither tied to your account, nor theirs and you can easily restore the iPads, should an employee be let go in less than amicable terms and decide not to sign out from there account on the iPad. This can render the iPad totally unusable.

Best option is to have a Mobile Device Management solution and deploy the app directly to the iPads through the MDM and Apple Configurator rather than depend on a specific person's Apple ID.
