Maps favorites disappeared after IOS 16 update

Yup the Apple way. Fix one thing nobody needs and break 5 other things. Then you got this long *** forum that won’t really go anywhere til all the developers put there noggins together to solve life’s new mysteries

Im having the same issue where all of my favorites in my apple maps get deleted. it's happened 5+ times and it's very annoying. I had a bunch of important places saved on there and I keep having to add them back on there.

Unfortunately I am on 17.0.2 now and just lost my favorites again after the update restart. Also lost the guides I had saved of which I am no longer able to recreate because after all they were guides of places to remember to check out on my travels. Maps works really well otherwise, but this favorites/guides loss bug is getting old.

It did not help for me either. And I’ve tried saving them several times now.

Mine too. It’s ridiculous. Can someone from Apple comment and at least let us know they are aware of the issue? I’m sure they will fix it in an update. Eventually

Same here. Can’t believe it hasn’t been fixed yet.

They know about the maps issue. No effort to fix. I e lost hundreds of favorite places snd my places many not in my contacts so cannot recreate

Absolutely pathetic. Apple is of no use to this forum or any other. As much as I hate to say it, back to using Google maps. Ugh!!

You're right. It should not matter at all unless Apple is trying to get users to pay for additional storage on top of their phones' storage capability. Good info though. Thanks for posting.

Some of us don't want to use the clouds even if they are free.
