I recently got a new iphone and new phone number with a new service provider (used to have AT&T), Patriot Mobile. Trying to change phone #'s with amazon and walmart and their automated verification text messages are not being received on my new phone/line. Both Patriot mobile and Amazon insist it is the other person's fault. Help? thanks
Thanks for your answer. That's the problem, though. I'm trying to change my phone numbers with Amazon and Walmart (give them the new number) and when I'm asked by their sites to put my new number in, they're trying to send a text message to my new number and it never arrives.
I don't know whose fault it is. An error has not occurred. Amazon and Walmart send the SMS message to the number they have been given by you. They cannot know you have changed your phone number.
My advice is to contact both Amazon and Walmart, and ask if there are other methods by which you can confirm that you are the owner of those accounts.
