Green tint on external monitor in fullscreen

I am currently connecting my 2020 MacBook Air (13") or (MacBookAir9,1) to an external monitor via HDMI.

Issue:

Watching videos/movies in fullscreen, the display occasionally has a green tint. Images can still be seen but in different shades of green rather than normal colours.

This occurs only in fullscreen mode, on all videos

The green tint disappears when paused and moving the mouse but returns once resumed.

Macbook, Monitor and cables are brand new.

This issue was originally resolved by setting the cursor to normal but that doesn't work anymore. Furthermore, I've tried using multiple monitors, the same problem persists. [i just have used a mac - don't intend to buy one]
