it won't let me upgrade to mac OS VENTURA

Why won't my mac upgrade to the latest version of IOS Ventura? I have macOS Sierra.

Your Mac might not be compatible with macOS Ventura, but you can upgrade to the latest available version of a different macOS. macOS Ventura is compatible with these computers - Apple Support


You can check what model Mac you have by going to the Apple menu () and selecting About This Mac.

You can download macOS upgrades here: How to download macOS - Apple Support


Generally, if your Mac was introduced in:


Before upgrading to a new version of macOS, it's a good idea to back up your Mac and make sure you have enough storage space available, ideally more than 60 GB.
