Apple Fitness+ app on Apple TV can not connect to my Apple Watch easily

Whenever I launch the Apple Fitness+ app on Apple TV, it asks me to select either my Apple Watch or my iPhone, and the Apple Watch always fails to connect unless I disable the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on my iPhone completely so that Apple TV can not detect the iPhone.

I wonder if there is a more convenient method or if Apple could just fix this bug.

Hi CivetinaRow,

Thanks for connecting with us here in Apple Support Communities. Is the workout app open on your Apple Watch before connecting to your Apple TV? You'll want to make sure that you're following the steps shown in this article as it may help address the issue you're facing. See: Set up Apple Fitness+ on Apple TV

Connect your Apple Watch to Apple TV

To use Apple Fitness+ with Apple TV, you need to connect your Apple Watch.
1. Open the Fitness app on Apple TV.
2. Select your name, or select Other if you don’t see your name.
If no one is signed in on your Apple TV, you may need to choose Sign In in the Fitness app first.
3. On your Apple Watch, tap Connect.
Note: You may need to open the Workout app on your Apple Watch before you can tap Connect.
4. If prompted, tap Continue, then enter the code from Apple TV on your Apple Watch.
Note: To start a workout on Apple TV, your Apple Watch must be updated to watchOS 7.2 or later, be unlocked, and have Bluetooth turned on.

Have a good one!
