Apple Watch won't connect to Fitness+ on Apple TV 4K

Apple Fitness plus on Apple TV not letting Apple Watch connect for workouts


Hi! I could really use some advice, so I have been having this issue as of TVOS 26.3, where when I go onto the Apple Fitness Plus app and try to connect my Apple Watch Ultra 3 to it in order to do a workout, my watch will try to connect to the Apple TV, and my watch will instruct me to put in the code displayed on the TV, but I unfortunately don’t receive a code on my TV. Does anyone have any advice? I have the Apple TV 4K 3rd Gen Wi-Fi. I have tried to restart the Apple TV 3 times as well as close out the Apple Fitness Plus app, and I have restarted my Apple Watch and phone 3 times as well, hoping a quick restart would do the trick, but so far, no luck. The only other way I’ve been able to use my watch and still have the workouts show up on the TV is by starting a workout on my iPad and using AirPlay to the TV. I am frustrated that it won’t work connecting to my watch as oddly enough it suggests my phone to connect. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

There shouldn't be any code that needs to be entered. The process will be that once you launch the app you select your profile on Apple TV, it will then say 'confirm on Apple Watch' and on the watch will pop up a button that says 'connect" and once you tap that it will proceed to load the main menu for Fitness Plus on Apple TV.

If it persists and a restart hasn't helped then perhaps something else is going on that Apple will need to investigate so I would suggest contacting support.

Apparently you are correct, there is now a code required to connect. It took me about six tries before it actually worked correctly.


Most of the time when I tried to connect the connect button on my watch would disappear before I could press it. After I was finally able to press it, the rest of the dialogue allowed me to punch in the code.


The new Apple fitness on the watch is in terrible condition. Hopefully the next update will fix it.
