How to activate MacBook Pro after factory reset

I reset my MacBook Pro to give it to a colleague. On restarting it, it asks me to connect to the Wi-fi but there's no option to see Wi-Fi network. There probably is another option of connecting a network cable to it for which I have ordered an adaptor. However, I am not sure if it will work.

Could someone please guide me on how to reinstall MacOS on it?

Many thanks.

Activate mac no wifi symbol—

1) Power down the Macbook (force quit if necessary hold the power button/TouchID down for ~6-10 sec.)

2) Wait 30-seconds...Short press power button

3) Immediately afterwards long press the power button until an "Option" screen appears

4) Click on options

Let any schematics present until Activate Mac screen appears again, the wifi icon appears in the upper right corner.

if necessary—manually enter network name & password under the "Join Other Network" option
