iPhone stopped sending Gmails. I fixed the problem easily.......

Did your iPhone stop sending Gmails recently? If so, here's one possible reason why (with an easy fix): If you recently signed up at Google/GMail for 2-step verification, that's probably the reason your iPhone stopped sending Gmails. To fix this, go to your GMail account.... go to the Security tab.... and turn off 2-step verification. THEN (and this is a must): Remove the GMail app from you iPhone and reinstall it again. (Be patient while it reinstalls.)

That is not the correct way.

With 2-Setp Verification on Gmail, you need to generate an App Specific password for the iOS mail App.

Create and use app passwords

  1. Go to your Google Account.
  2. On the left navigation panel, choose Security.
  3. On the 'Signing in to Google' panel, choose App passwords. ...
  4. At the bottom, choose Select app and choose the app that you're using.
  5. Choose Select device and choose the device that you're using.
  6. Choose Generate.
