MacBook Air connected to Apogee Duet running Logic Pro X seems to Drain MacBook battery quickly

I'm running Logic Pro X on a 2020 MacBook Air, with an apogee Duet 2 connected via a usb-c/USB 1 interface ... it seems since once I hook everything up the MacBook battery seems to run down to nothing very quickly. would an external power source for the Duet help? (Instead of the current situation where the Duet is I guess being powered by the MacBook)? Very frustrating.

Battery optimization using a 16" M1 Maxmacbook hooked up to a 2022, 27" Apple Studio Display Does anyone have experience solving battery optimization issues when using a 2022 16" Macbook M1 Max plugged into a new 2022, Apple 27" Studio display. Battery optimization works perfectly when connected to the apple ac adapter. When connected to the Studio display, the display by default charges the laptop but always charges the battery to 100%. I have not found a way to have the studio display connected to the MacBook and not have the display charge the laptop.

Audio interface always charges my battery Hello There, I have a usb-c audio interface (Apollo Twin X), connected to my M1pro macbook. The interface is connected to external power. But instead of just exchanging Data with my macbook, it is also feeding the battery ever so slowly. I feel this isn't good for my battery's life, it never gets a chance to drop to lower levels of energy, and constantly gets a low power supply through the usb-c port, even when my macbook's own external power is not connected. Does anyone have a solution for this? How can i prevent my interface from charging my Mac? Thank you! Arieh
