Apple Tv App

My Apple TV app only opens when on WIFI. It will not open when using Cellular Data. Any suggestions? (i’m not referring to the Apple Tv little box that connects to TV)

The TV app on iPhone or iPad needs internet access, to show anything other than the local library.

Through Wi-Fi, the TV app should have regular internet access.
On cellular, the TV app would need extra permission to use cellular data. Settings﹥Cellular﹥[scroll down to apps list] TV app﹥

It sounds like you're having trouble launching the Apple TV app. We can help.

It isn't clear which device you're trying to use the Apple TV app with, but are you able to confirm if other features work using cellular data?

If they do, you can Contact Apple for support and service.

I can open the internet I am using Iphone 14+ I chatted with an Apple Rep and they told me that unless the internet signal is really strong the Apple Tv + app will not open. I can only open it on WIFI. T-mobile strength is horrible where I live and surrounding areas are no better.

Thank you so much. I did not realize this additional setting wasn’t turned on. it works now.
