Why am I getting an ask to buy message?

Does ANYONE AT ALL know why I'm not getting an ask to buy and I DO NOT HAVE A FAMILY acct? I hate this purchase verification crap when I just want to download apps or buy when I want to on the tv! That's the whole point! This is turning me off and I'll soon stick to my Sony tvs App Store and features if I can't just APPROVE purchases. My husband has to CALL ME TO get a series or a free app. And I WILL NOT apple share so there has to be another option! I get nothing. Trying to get the free news app and stuck. Unless I type in my 8*** digit long password!

You shouldn't get ask to buy. Are you trying to enable that feature? At best, you'll be asked to enter your password for purchases or verify using Touch ID/Face ID on a connected device.
