I’ve done everything and I keep getting unable to contact FaceTime server help, I’m trying to FaceTime

Hey Mazarothsky,


If we understand correctly, you are receiving an error message that the device cannot connect to the server. There are a couple of things you can try that may be able to help. We would recommend you read these articles and use them to help troubleshoot the issue.


  1. "Make sure that you’re connected to a cellular data or Wi-Fi network. 
  2. If you're using an iPhone, you need SMS messaging to activate your phone number with iMessage and FaceTime. Depending on your carrier, you might be charged for this SMS.
  3. Go to Settings > General > Date & Time and make sure that your time zone is set correctly."


  1. "Go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage.
  2. Go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off FaceTime." and back on.


If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support


In case there might be a firewall on your network, this article has more information.

If you use FaceTime and iMessage behind a firewall - Apple Support
